Trying to figure out where to go on your family vacation this year? Why not go on a cruise with the family? Family cruises are the perfect vacation because they are so easy! Once you get on the ship everything else is taken care of for you. Food, activities, exotic destinations, and transportation are all inclusive.
There are cruise ships that specialize in family cruising, but you can also find that more and more cruise ships are offering stuff to do for the whole family.
Advantages of a family cruise:
- The kids will never be bored . Many cruise ships offer a kids club that parents can check their children into for as long or as short of a time as they want. There are all kinds of activities geared for all age levels such as, a variety of crafts, computers, singing, scavenger hunts, etc.
- The adult also have plenty of their own activities. There are shows that can be enjoyed with or without the children, casinos, exercise facilities, enjoying the sun uninterrupted, etc. The one thing our family likes to do together is to swim at the pool.
- No packing and unpacking at every destination . I love that we can go to a ton of different ports and do anything from horseback riding to swimming with dolphins and we only unpack once! When traveling with a big family (or even a small one) that is a huge advantage. The excursions are usually rated by the cruise ship to let you know which would be best for what age group and also how much money it will be.
- We love the food . We can all go to dinner and have whatever we want. It is like going to several different restaurants. My husband and I can have the incredible food that cruise lines are famous for and most cruises offer a kids menu that have kid friendly food too. The kids menu typically does not change like the adult menu, however the kids can also order off of the adult menu if they would like.
- Discount cruises are available . Cheap family cruises are not just a dream. If you are flexible with your vacation dates then going off season provides a way to get a discount.
- A family cruise makes the perfect family reunion . Whether it is with the grandparents or the whole extended family, family friendly cruises are really easy for everyone.
We think that a cruise with the family make the best vacation. You have entertainment, fabulous meals, and an all around good time that you only have to pay for once!
